Toijala Harbour – an oasis of events
Welcome to the shores of Vanajavesi to enjoy the beautiful water and our various activities!
The Toijala Harbour beach with its water park offers joy and splashing for the whole family. You can also find experiences and the joy of exercise in the activity park, relaxation sessions and wellness sauna moments as well as open swimming.
Refresh yourself by paddling, stand-up paddleboarding or biking. You can also take a cruise from the port – an inland waterway ship will take you to Visavuori and the landscapes of Sääksmäki.
The Toijalan Näyttämö Summer Theatre offers entertaining performances in a covered auditorium. When you get hungry, the beach restaurant and café serves delicious summer delicacies from our cozy roof terrace with magnifient views.
Various events are organized all year round: the opening event of the summer season, the Midsummer event and the Venetians are the highlights of the year.
A port for exercisers and nature lovers
At Toijala Harbour, you can enjoy the peace of the surrounding nature. The Terisjärvi nature trail welcomes you to spot rare birds, enjoy grill snacks under the shelter of a lean-to and exercise on the fitness stairs. Come and test our new mountain biking and hiking route! We rent fat bikes for independent cycling in the lap of nature.
On the nearby Kekkä island, you will find a campfire site and equipment for preparing picnic snacks, as well as a tentsile camp.
We have two top-class outdoor paddle courts and a mini golf course. The youngest members of the family will be entertained in midsummer by the dry-land bouncy castle.
Accommodation
If your trip is longer, the 24-place caravan and camping area BestPark offers natural accommodation with additional services. You can also stay overnight in your own tent in the area. Kekkä-saari in front of the harbour contains an unique tentsile camp experience.
During your visit, also explore the other tourist attractions of Akaa; here you will find the Locomotive Museum, a wonderful wallpaper tradition and plenty of events throughout the year.
For Groups
Toijala Harbour is perfect for organizing various private events. Empty days, birthdays, stag parties and other group events can be tailored to your needs. A fat bike tour or an electric mountain bike safari with a guide including a sausage sizzle at the lean-to, a canoe trip, SUP boarding, water park racing, paddle lessons and a scenic cruise are just a few examples of what we offer.

Go Park Akaa – Summer fun for people of all ages!
Come and enjoy our beautiful nature by cycling, kayaking, hiking or camping. We offer excursions and loose lessons by stand up paddling, canoeing, kayaking, fatbike an e-mountain bike.
Don’t miss the unforgettable nights on the island, in a tentsile tree lodge. You can also rent a rentsile trip on a trip by stand-up paddling, kayak or fatbike.
Splashing in the water park is a great fun activity for swimmers of all ages, from small children to a lively danger! The GoPark activity track is designed as a versatile play area with ascents, descents, jumps and slides for every start.
The Tentsile tent accommodation, hung in trees, is a new kind of nature experience even for experienced hikers. Kekkä Island, about 30 minutes ’kayaking from GoPark Beach, has Tentsile tents attached to GoPark’s trees. Accommodation can be booked alone or combined with an excursion or even a day at the water park. Experience nature in a new way!

Vanaja Padel – enjoy the fun of sports!
There are two top-class padel courts in the harbor. Padel is an easy-to-learn racket game played as a doubles game. The simple rules are quick to learn and the racket is easy to handle thanks to its short shaft. The ball can bounce off both the court and the walls, so there are plenty of different hitting opportunities. Padel is suitable for players of all ages and levels. Due to the sociability of the game, it is called the so-called picnic game, which fits perfectly into the milieu of Toijala Harbor.

Toijalan Näyttämö Summer Theatre
Toijalan Näyttämö is a 70-year-old amateur theatre that creates wonderful theatre experiences for both locals and theatre lovers from all over Finland. Skilled actors, interesting play choices and professional directors guarantee an entertaining theatre experience. The summer theatre’s covered auditorium can accommodate around 240 spectators and delicious intermission meals can be enjoyed at an affordable price in the old and idyllic station environment. Welcome to enjoy!

Welcome to enjoy cruises with breathtaking sceneries in the valkeakoski and Tampere lake areas!
You can choose from different cruises to interesting destinations; museums, restaurants, wine distilleries, saunas, hotels etc. We will be happy to design a private cruise for your group, feel free to ask for more details. Our boat seats up to 70 persons, but we recommend to travel with groups up to 50 persons to ensure an enjoyable experience. The sundeck seats 30 persons and the salon area 40 persons. We provide AV services; TV and microphone. Upon request, drinks and meals are also provided.

BestPark Akaa
At BestPark Akaa, you can relax on the shores of Lake Vanajavesi or enjoy the calming effect of the water. Akaa is a beautiful and lively, easily accessed town that offers experiences to appeal to all five senses. The shimmering lake, and the wide range of services at the Toijala harbour, are within easy reach of BestPark.
A beautiful natural setting and range of waterways and trails are ideal reasons for venturing into the great outdoors. During the summer, why not try out some activities out on the water, whether you choose to spend your days cruising or canoeing? Beekeeping (and delicious honey) renowned across Europe, Finland’s oldest operational cinema, and the historic Locomotive Museum and Wallpaper Museum are among the area’s fascinating attractions.
At this ‘+++-level’ park, you can unwind in the soft steam of a sauna and sample the lakeside atmosphere and services of the harbour area. There are also plenty of other activities for people on short or longer visits. Why not visit the nearby Hämeenlinna or Tampere by water or rail, for example? Given the park’s excellent location, the Helsinki metropolitan area; the coastal towns of Turku, Pori and Vaasa; and the inland cities of Jyväskylä and Lahti are easily reachable by car.
Boating spaces
The port invites boaters to enjoy themselves in Vanaja: the city’s guest boat spaces marked with buoys can be found at the pier near the beach.
The boat spaces are marked and free of charge. The toilets are located at the end of the sauna building and in the parking area. The toilets are open according to GoPark opening hours.
